The first is getting people to your site/blog to see the promotion. The second is to make it attractive or enticing enough that they will click on the link and once that is done it is out of your hands and into the hands of the product you are promoting. Now everything rests on the landing page, and if you are lucky enough it will result in a sale, or the very least a lead and you may make some money.
